S is for Serendipity

Day 19: “S is for “Serendipity”. Do you believe in serendipity? Why or why not?”

Serendipity is to love as karma is to religion. Neither exist to me. They are ridiculous.

Serendipity is the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way. The word sounds so silly to me. I am not sure if it is to be pitied because it is so dippy.

I don’t believe in chance. I believe everything happens for a reason. I have to believe this or I will drive myself mad. So many bad things have happened to me that I need to believe it was not all for naught.

I have never believed in luck, except maybe when I am playing a game of cards, but even in that there is some skill required.

I have never believed in karma either. Do children deserve to be abused? Did they do something previously that they are now being abused for? That makes zero sense.

What do you think?
