Day 42: 16 – “What were you like when you were 16?”
I remember being 16 vaguely. Many things from that time of my life are blurred into drug nights and suicidal thoughts.
I didn’t know much about the world when I was 16. I had lost my grandmother the year before so I was mess. I worked a summer job in an amusement park. I met a lot of interesting people. By interesting I mean weird. We were all teenagers, except for the main supervisors. The head supervisor was a pedophile. I often wonder if he ever got busted for it. The sad part was that he was also a teacher at one of the local high schools. I believe most of the people from that summer are dead. At least in my imagination most of them died a long time ago. If people leave my life and I never hear from them again, then I assume they died.
I was in high school when I was 16. I cannot remember which of the many schools I went to was my high school. I never made friends in school. I moved around too much. I was not a person at that time. I was shy. Extremely shy. I was bullied by everyone, even my own family.
I really cannot remember much. I was a virgin or like a virgin. If someone has sex with you, but you were not there, then are you still a virgin?
