Day 46: 20 – “How was being 20 like?”
I believe 20 was a terrible year for me. Unfortunately, I do not have a concept of time so I cannot be sure. Let’s pretend I was 20.
When I was 20 I got really sick. First it started in my kidneys or somewhere behind me, but not in my butt. I would be in pain, then I would vomit green stuff constantly. I would vomit until I was heaving. It was horrible.
The confederacy of dunces known as the medical doctors could not help me. They could not find anything wrong. I had to laugh because vomiting green stuff is not normal.
One day while I was working the pain hit my stomach. I went down to the ground. I could not do anything. Someone took me to the hospital. I was rushed into the emergency room. It was just like in the television series E.R., except George Clooney was not there.
They told me that if they did not operate immediately, then I would die. I had an operation for bleeding ulcer or something like that.
It was a horrible time because a few weeks later I had another operation in the same place. They could not finish the first one because I had lost too much blood.
I am still alive. I have had four of operations in the same place on my stomach.
