Happy Song

Day 61: “What song really makes you happy?”

So many songs make me feel happy, yet sad. It is a thin like between the two extremes for me. I can reach either quickly and lose it quicker.

One of the happiest songs ever is ABBA’s “Dancing Queen“. They made some really incredibly upbeat happy music. I check a lot of happiest songs ever lists and it made all of them.

The Go-Go’s song “Vacation” is one of my favourite happy songs. Everybody loves a vacation.

Another song that I really like and it made all the list is Katrina and the Waves biggest hit song “Walking On Sunshine“.

Oddly, I find “Hold On” from Wilson Phillips putting a smile on my face when I hear it.

Other happy songs are “I Could Be Happy” by Altered Images, “I Like Boys” and “Mental Hopscotch” from Missing Persons. It was my introduction to a band that I would love until they broke up. Jack Johnson’s song “Upside Down” was happy, but I feel a bit sad now when I hear it.

What song makes you happy?

  1. Ooh, you going the opposite to sad now? Think happy, happy. Oh, I’ve got say, any pop punk puts me in a magnificent mood. Must be the frantic mood! Any rock anthems in the 2000s takes me back to my childhood so I’m happy with anything in that era.

    1. I used to be happier with the pop-punk of the 2000s, but now it seems like it was all a delusion. I am stuck between happy and sad with most songs. Some of the songs that used to make me happy now make me sad.
