Hate Songs

Day 64: “What’s the one song that you absolutely hate?”

The list of songs that I absolutely hate is very long.

1. Almost every country song.
2. Almost every rap/hip-hop song.
3. Almost every Spanish song.

There are some exceptions to every list, of course. In the country category, I like a few Dolly Parton songs and maybe a few other songs, but they don’t come to mind. In the rap/hip-hop genre, I would make an exception for Eminem. I have liked quite a few of his song. And I have found a recent appreciation for Kanye West.

Worst song the combines those two country and hip-hop is Lil Nas X’s Old Town Road. It is so horrible.

I really hate Taylor Swift too. Her song “Look What You Made Me Do” sounds like another let’s blame everyone else for my little problems. She has an awful voice and personality, but even she has one good song.

The most hated songs ever are PSY’s “Gangnam Style”, “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” from Bobby McFerrin, and Despacito from Luis Fonsi. I hate Spanish songs, but I am not sure why. I love music from all over the world, but I cannot name one Spanish song that I like at all.

Every song from Drake, Meghan Trainor, and Lizzo is terrible, ear-bleeding terrible. I mean, I would rather be in a room full of cats meowing and scratching at me then listen to them.

I could go on all day, but I will spare you. Most of the songs that I hate remind me of cats screaming.
