Day 65: “Write about your favorite Britney Spears song. Or, if you don’t like Britney, write about one of her songs that you can tolerate the most.”
I think I only know of one Britney Spears song or I can at least name one song. I had to spend time listening to some of her songs. I know I had to review one of her albums for the 1001 Albums I did last year, but I cannot remember it. I think I mostly disliked it.
I know what it is about Spears that I dislike, it’s her voice. It is like a chipmunk singing on slow speed. But I do like her vocals better than Christina Aguilera vocals.
I started with the singer’s last album Glory. I had hoped she had matured since the early 2000s. I was quite surprised that the first three songs were good enough that I did not skip them. The music is excellent for a mood. Her voice works great with of R&B and EDM music, especially EDM.
I think “Private Show” is my favourite song for dancing on the album. I like the music mostly. I have learned to give some artist a real chance, especially ones I think I don’t like.
