Talking Heads’ Talking Heads: 77 is not one of their albums that I have heard of. I know one song off of it, but only vaguely. I remember the first time I saw one of their videos I thought “Who is this?”. They were different than the other bands on MTV.
This album is just what I expect from the band, something different than what others are doing at that time. They were always unique. The best songs to try out are “New Feeling“, “Tentative Decisions“, “Happy Day“, “No Compassion“, “Psycho Killer” and my favourite song “Pull Up“.
I recommend listening to this album with an open mind if you have not heard of them or their music. It is a great debut album. There will be other albums of theirs on this list so you might as well give them a real chance. 9/10.
