Life Begins After Coffee (30)

Day 56: 30 – “Some people say that life starts at 30. Why is that so?”

Seriously, life does Begin After Coffee and for some it begins after 30. I could not wake up this morning so it definitely started after my morning French Press. I may have an addiction to coffee, but I am okay with it.

I am so happy that this is the last of the number prompts. I could not do one more, including this one. I feel that I have exhausted the number theme, especially concerning my life. I hope the next prompts allow me to be more creative.

I am trying to think about my life at 30. What was I doing? I was clean from drugs. I was entering a community college. I think I was in my first acting class. At the very least all of this happened around that time, except I got clean from drugs some year before I hit 30.

I don’t think life begins at 30. It just continues and some of us mature around the age of 30. I believe there is a realisation that you are not as young as you once were so you start to do things that will advance your future.

Some start to get the baby bug so they settle down to start a family life. That was never in my plans. I love children as long as they can walk and talk, but I never thought I would be a great parent. My childhood haunts me and I am not always in the present.

30 is just a number. It does not really make a difference. I believe life begins when you are conceived in the womb. Once you are born, you are working your way to Grace. You will stumble, you will fall, you will get up, you will triumph over your demons, you will hate, and hopefully you will love more. It is all part of life. Each number is a part of a new beginning and a part of an old ending. Hopefully, there will always be excellent coffee for your mornings, evenings, and nights.
