#425 Brian Eno – Ambient 1: Music for Airports

Ambient 1: Music for Airports is Brian Eno‘s sixth album and the first album to be labeled as ambient music. I have heard of this album and probably heard it at some point in my youth. I just do not remember, perhaps after listening my memory will be returned. Trivia: The album was installed at the Marine Air Terminal of New York’s LaGuardia Airport in mid-1980.

I will be honest. That first song was so sad that I started crying. I imagined this is the song I kill myself to one day. The same can be said of the other three songs, but the first is the saddest.

This is a great album and deserves its place in history as the best ambient album of all time. Eno was at the highest point of his career with this one. 10/10.
