#870 Lauryn Hill – The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill

Rapper Lauryn Hill released her first and last solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in 1998. It was a critical and commercial success.

One solo album and many think she was the greatest. I have my doubts. Something smells like a one hit wonder to me.

Hill has one song in which she sings that “music is supposed to inspire…”. There is the problem for me. I was not inspired at all by this album. I am sure that if I heard it in 1998 I would have felt the same. This is a waste of time for me. I recommend her album is you like hip hop. 5/10.
