#1013 Lupe Fiasco – Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor

Lupe Fiasco debut album Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor was released in 2006. The album has a million producers, such as The Neptunes and Kanye West, but it has even more songwriters. Poverty, Islam, terrorism, racism, and individuality are the issues Fiasco raps about throughout the album.

I think the worst part of the album is the over 12 minute shout out to everyone he knows. That “song” took the album to an even lower score. I could not wait for it to end.

I did not like this album at all. His voice is not terrible for a rapper, but I could not feel the music at all. Lyrically, I was not impressed either. I think this album was removed in the later editions of 1001 Albums… 2/10.
